Nar Phu Valley Trek with Thorong La Pass is a wonderful journey to the spiritual valley of the upper Annapurna region that is hidden and mysterious. Nar and Phu villages are dominated by the ancient Tibetan Buddhist cultural heritages that are antique and awesome.

The monasteries and Chhortens in Nar and Phu valley are worth to explore and enjoy the attraction. The trek becomes a world-class adventure as it is adjoined to the Thorong La Pass, which is the highest Himalayan pass in the world.

Driving to Bhulbhule from Kathmandu, Nar Phu valley with Thorong La Pass trek begins. From Dharapni, the trek leads you to Koto and it directs to Meta via Phu Khola. The trail is isolated but is prevailed by the ancient Tibetan Buddhist heritage. Phu valley is undisturbed where traditional values are still well preserved. Through the downhill trail, it takes you to the Nar village of Manang via Kang La Pass.

Along with the antique Tibetan Buddhist attractions of various villages as Nar, Phu and Manang, the Himalayan panoramas of Mt. Annapurna, Manaslu, Chulu East, Chulu Far East and other brilliant snowy peaks. Exploring the boundless Himalayas and cultural heritage relating to Tibetan Buddhism. Descending to Muktinath, you can explore the famous Hindu and Buddhist site of the Muktinath temple. This is located in the Mustang region, which is a rain shadow area.

The Kagbeni village and the dusty Kali Gandaki valley offer a different scenario in the trip. The trek ends in Jomsom and fly to Pokhara.

Itinerary Day 1: Arrival at Kathmandu. Namaste and welcome to Nepal. Alpine Excursion Treks and expedition's representative welcome you warmly at the Tribhuwan International Airport and transfer to the hotel. You take rest and enjoy your meal in the evening. Overnight at Hotel.
Itinerary Day 2: Sightseeing (special permit Document preparation) day in Kathmandu After the breakfast, you set out for the sightseeing trip in the Kathmandu valley. Our expert tour guide shows you the UNESCO world heritage sites, which include Pashupatinath (the Hindu temple), Boudhanath (Buddhist stupa), Swayambhunath (Buddhist stupa and temple). Then, return back to the hotel. If we have to make permit, we need to do this today. Overnight at Hotel.
Itinerary Day 3: Drive to Bulbule from Kathmandu 7-8 hours and 1 hour trek to Ngadi Bazaar. After the breakfast at the hotel, we drive to Bhulbhule from Kathmandu for 7-8 hours. The changing sceneries include the River, terraced rice fields, jungles and terraced villages. First we drive along the Trishuli River and then we follow the Marshyangdi River. If you like, you can begin the trek from Besisahar. But, we drive further to Bhulbhule and trek for an hour to Ngadi Bazaar. Overnight at Lodge.
Itinerary Day 4: Trek to Jagat (1310m) 6-7 hours. After the breakfast at Ngadi, we commence to walk through the forest and fields. We reach to Syange. Passing Tallo Chipla and power plant, we reach to Jagat, where we will conclude today's walk. Overnight at lodge.
Itinerary Day 5: Trek to Dharapani (1860m) 5-6 hours. Today, we begin the trek from Jagat in the Manang region, heading through the barley and potato fields. Then we walk along the rhododendron forest that takes you to the teritory of Manang. Passing Chamje, we reach to Tal, where ACAP check point lies. Then we begin to walk via Karte and finally reach to Dharapani. Overnight at lodge.
Itinerary Day 6: Trek to Koto (2600m) 4-5 hours. We begin to walk from Dharapni after the breakfast. Koto is our destination today. We walk through the landslide trail, passing Bagarchhap and Timang village. The Himalayan views of Mt. Annapurna, Lamjung Himal and the neighboring peaks can be explored. If you like, you can enjoy the natural hot spring on the way. Passing Thanchowk, we reach to Koto. Overnight at lodge.
Itinerary Day 7: Trek to Meta (3560m) 7-8 hours walk to Metha via Phu Khola (Meta) village of Tibetans (Buddhist) and go through the river site (streams). After breakfast, we begin to trek through the isolated trail of Annaourna region, leaving the main trail that leads us to the Thorong La pass. Almost the trail is isolated and very few human settlements are located on the trail. The trail goes through the bank of the Naar Khola, passing some dense forests and rock dominated trail. We Pass Dharmasala before reaching Meta. Overnight at lodge.
Itinerary Day 8: Trek to Kyang (3820m) 4-5 hours (lunch and camp). After breakfast, we walk gradually to Kyang passing a big chhorten and Naar phedi. Then we pass Junum Goth and Chyakhu before we reach to our destination- Kyang, which is beautifully located in a wonderful landscape. Overnight at lodge.
Itinerary Day 9: Trek to Phu Village (4080m) from Kyang 5-6 hours After the breakfast at Kyang, we begin to trek to the Phu village through the jaw dropping landscapes. With a careful walk, we commence the trek facing the rocky path and we eventually see the Naurs, which is called blue sheep. Via entrance gate of Phu valley, we enter into the valley, which preserves its traditional way of living and their cultural practices. The Annapurna scenery can be explored from this village. Overnight at lodge.
Itinerary Day 10: Rest day and make short trekking. After the breakfast, we prepare for the day hiking around. After lunch we visit some of the culturally significant monasteries, chhortens and the villages around the Phu Valley. We visit the Tashi Gumba, Samdu Choling Gumba of Phu village. Overnight at lodge.
Itinerary Day 11: Trek down to Yunkar Gumpa (3540m) 6-7 hours From Phu village, we trek down to the culturally significant Yunkar Gompa. It’s a gradual walk down through the rock dominated trail and the steep rocky slopes that increase the adventure in the trip. Overnight at lodge.
Itinerary Day 12: Trek to Nar Village (4110m) 4-5 hours (lunch and camp). From Yankur Gompa, we descend to Naar village. It is a gentle descent and again we climb up to the Nar village via Yughat. We can see the Stupa and Mani walls on the way. Overnight at Lodge. Overnight at lodge.
Itinerary Day 13: Hike around. We will make short trekking up to 400m more in the morning from the Naar village and come down to Nar Village and after lunch we will visit monastery again. Overnight at lodge.
Itinerary Day 14: Trek to Kangla Phedi (4530m) 4-5 hours (lunch and camp) From Naar village, we have a short walk today, just to prepare for the high pass climb. After breakfast, we walk through the steep moraine path. Reaching early, we have time to prepare for the following day, maybe a short climb and descend back. Overnight at lodge.
Itinerary Day 15: Trek to Kangla pass (5320m) 8-9 hours and Nawal village (3657m) The real adventure begins after the breakfast. We begin to climb the steep steps after crossing the metal bridge and steep notch. The Kang La Pass is located at 5320 meters altitude, which is a wonderful viewpoint of Annapurna II, Annapurna III, Annapurna IV, Gangapurana, Tillicho peak, Pisang Peak, many more that are in the surroundings. Climbing down to the Ngawal village via grassy path, take a rest. Overnight at lodge.
Itinerary Day 16: Trek to Manang (3540m) via Bhraka monastery (3439m). From Ngawal, we begin to trek to Manang via Braka. On the way, we explore the Sher Gompa and Braka Gompa. We have an easy day with exploring the cultural heritages. Manang is our destination today, which is a center of cultural attraction and a village populated by the Tibetan Buddhists. Overnight at lodge.
Itinerary Day 17: Rest Day in Manang. The exploration day in Manang, we spend exploring the monasteries and chhortens along with the cultural lifestyles of the people living in the Manang village. We hike to the Gangapurna Lake, Boozo Gompa and the surroundings. After lunch at some hotel you could use the internet services for connecting with your family members. Overnight at lodge.
Itinerary Day 18: Trek to Yak Kharka (4018m) from Manang 5-6 hrs. From Manang, we begin to walk through the bank of the stream. We follow the Thorung Khola and encounter with numerous chhortens. Then we walk cattle grazing meadows and Juniper forest are wonderful. Crossing a bridge over the Ghyanchang Khola, we climb up to Yak Kharka. Overnight at lodge.
Itinerary Day 19: Trek to Thorong Phedi (4450m) 5-6 hrs After the breakfast at Yak Kharka, we begin to climb up through the grazing meadow. The trail is gentle but the altitude is increasing. Taking a short tea break on the way, we continually climb up through the landslide area with a great attention. Reaching Thorong Phedi at a lunch time, we take a rest and adapt to the altitude. Overnight at lodge.
Itinerary Day 20: Trek to Muktinath 3800m by Thorong La pass 5416m 8-9 hrs Early in the morning, we begin the tough journey and the most awaited day of our trek with the challenging high pass. We climb up to the high camp through the steep trail. Then, having a cup of tea or coffee, we continually climb up to the Thorong La top (5416m). It is the best viewpoint Of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri range including the Lamjung Himal range and Manaslu. Taking abundant snaps, we begin to climb down to the spiritual destination of Muktinath, which is a center of attraction for the Hindu and Buddhist devotees to pay their homage. Take a rest there. Overnight at lodge.
Itinerary Day 21: Trek to Jomsom from Muktinath via Lubra Village (2790m) 6-7 hrs From the Muktinath temple we begin the trek to Jomsom via Lubrs pass. It's pretty much long walk through the dusty Kali Gandaki River bank. As the region lies in the rain shadow area, the landscape is entirely brown and dotted with sandy rocks. Reach to Jomsom and take a rest. Overnight at lodge.
Itinerary Day 22: Jomsom to Pokhara by flight (20 minutes) and afternoon flight back to Kathmandu. In the morning, we fly from Jomsom to Pokhara, enjoying the snowy peaks of Mt. Annapurna and Dhaulagiri range. Then, connect the flight to Kathmandu from Pokhara, which is also wonderful to explore the Annapurna and Langtang range. Then you transfer to the hotel in Kathmandu. Overnight at hotel.
Itinerary Day 23: Transfer to International airport. The last day of the trip, the representative of the Alpine Excursion Treks and Expedition drops you to the airport. Thank you for joining us for your memorable trip. See you again.
