Itinerary Day 1: Pickup in Chiang Mai at 8 AM, transportation to Baan Kart market where we stock up on supplies. Transportation to trekking start point in Mae Sa Pok village. Trek mostly uphill in the jungle for about three hours until we reach a viewpoint. See waterways and waterfalls on the way. Here we take a break and have lunch. Afternoon trek depends on your wishes. We can trek for another three hours out of the jungle, through farmland, to a local Karen village, or we can take a shorter and easier trail. In the village, we have dinner with the host family and spend the night with them.
Itinerary Day 2: After breakfast, we walk around the village and learn how the villagers live. During weekdays, we also have an option to visit the village school. We hike in the farmland and learn about local farming methods, then trek back into jungle to a local waterfall where we cook lunch in bamboo. In the afternoon, we trek on mixed terrain for about 3-4 hours, depending on your wishes. We drive back to Chiang Mai and drop you off at your hotel in the late afternoon.
